Michael Fassbender‘s year of terrible movies continues on this week’s Popcorn Muncher Podcast, hosted by Luke Stevenson and Tom Beasley – editor of The Popcorn Muncher.

It’s a packed reviews section, headlined by the baffling incompetence of Fassbender-starring Nordic mystery The Snowman and the disappointing hyperactivity of The Lego Ninjago Movie. There’s also discussion of the ground-breaking hand-painted animation Loving Vincent and British horror movie The Ritual, starring Rafe Spall. Luke also chips in to review Netflix dramedy The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected), which is a rare success for Adam Sandler.

In the news section, we discuss the mood trailer for Marvel’s Black Panther and the first teaser for The New Mutants, in which the X-Men universe swerves wildly into the world of horror films. Finally, in honour of Fassbender’s better work, we round-up our top five performances by the star, including 12 Years a Slave, Shame and, of course, Magneto.
