A few months after the horror of Infinity War‘s devastating ending, we’re back with Marvel on this week’s Popcorn Muncher Podcast, hosted by Patrick Wilson, with Tom Beasley – editor of The Popcorn Muncher.

It’s a double bill of massive reviews this week, but there’s also time to talk about the fun sporting documentary Kaiser and Jehovah’s Witness drama Apostasy. Then, we move on to the return of both Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie for the action extravaganza of Mission: Impossible – Fallout, which might well be the best of the franchise. Finally, we discuss Marvel’s latest, as Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly return for sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp, but is it a slam dunk or a disappointment? To end the podcast, we go into a spoiler-filled discussion of the movie.

Before the reviews, though, there’s the news section. We talk about the immediately divisive full trailer for Venom, in which Tom Hardy portrays the titular anti-hero, and also chat about the fact that Star Wars: Episode IX has finally started filming. We also find time to chat about the stunning young cast announced for director Ari Aster‘s follow-up to Hereditary.
