One of Hollywood’s brightest stars is taking another big creative risk on this week’s Popcorn Muncher Podcast, hosted by Patrick Wilson, with Luke Stevenson and Tom Beasley – editor of The Popcorn Muncher.

We review the Jennifer Lawrence spy thriller Red Sparrow, which is directed by Hunger Games helmer Francis Lawrence, and raucous comedy Game Night, in which Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams play a hyper-competitive couple. There’s also discussion of Netflix sci-fi film Mute, directed by Duncan Jones.

In the news section, we take a look at the first teaser trailer for Mary Poppins Returns, discuss the incredibly divisive set of parody posters released to promote Ready Player One and consider whether the recently announced sequel to Call Me By Your Name is a good thing. To round things off, Tom pits Lawrence against McAdams in the quiz.
