Taika Waititi’s offbeat comedy Boy is finally on UK DVD

Since he rocketed into the A-list as part of the Marvel machine in Thor: Ragnarok, New Zealand director Taika Waititi has become one of the most beloved figures in Hollywood. His offbeat vision in films like What We Do in the Shadows and Hunt for the Wilderpeople is now being widely discovered by viewers outside of his native land. One of his first films was 2010 coming-of-age comedy Boy, in which Waititi plays the bad boy father of James Rolleston‘s big-dreaming youngster and Michael Jackson enthusiast.

It’s a lovely movie that is set to arrive on DVD in the UK on Monday, February 26, and so everyone now has a chance to enjoy the delightful, offbeat quirk of Taika Waititi’s vision in its raw, unfettered form. It will definitely make an impact.
