Netflix has really stepped up its game on this week’s Popcorn Muncher Podcast, hosted by Patrick Wilson, with Luke Stevenson and Tom Beasley – editor of The Popcorn Muncher.

All three of us review the Netflix-bound Stephen King adaptation of Gerald’s Game, directed by horror maestro Mike Flanagan, and featuring Carla Gugino handcuffed to a bed. We also find time to chat about the disappointing reboot of Flatliners and the syrupy author biopic Goodbye Christopher Robin, starring Domhnall Gleeson as Winnie the Pooh creator AA Milne.

In the news section, we take on the new trailers for Paddington 2 and Pacific Rim: Uprising, as well as the news that Universal is pressing pause on Bride of Frankenstein, which could already spell the end for the Dark Universe after the failure of The Mummy. We then finish with a quiz about two films released a decade ago.
