One of Stephen King’s most challenging works makes it to the big screen on The Popcorn Muncher Podcast, hosted by Patrick Wilson with Luke Stevenson and Tom Beasley – editor of The Popcorn Muncher.

In a packed reviews section, we start off with An Inconvenient Sequel, which follows Al Gore‘s continued work in the environmental movement, and teen romance Everything, Everything. We also cast an eye over the poor action-comedy The Hitman’s Bodyguard. Finally, we take a good look at Stephen King adaptation The Dark Tower, in which a small child becomes embroiled in a hard-fought battle between Idris Elba‘s ice cool gunslinger and Matthew McConaughey as a sadistic sorcerer.

In the news, we try to unpick the mess of Joker movies announced in the last week and also take a look at the lists of highest paid actors and actresses in Hollywood. We debate whether the James Bond franchise should continue after the next installment and Patrick leads a quiz based on two literary adaptations.
